Notebook 2: 
 			                                                I began by insisting (in my 
 	                           sleep, mind you), ‘Gimme one a them stars  
                             and I’ll put your eyes out with it.’—  
                             Woke up long before daylight.

 			                                                Watched all night 
 	                           a telescope 
 		                                                	trained on the image  
 	                           as when 
 		                                                	a bird stirs in the eaves  
 	                          The sound becomes  
 				                                                           full-bodied.
